Winnemucca Historic Resources Commission

The City of Winnemucca, understanding the benefits of historic preservation, created Chapter 2.56 of the Winnemucca Municipal Code in 2018, seated its first Historic Resources Commission in 2019 and also became one of six Certified Local Governments in the State of Nevada recognized by the National Park Service in 2019.

There are three buildings in Winnemucca listed on the Nevada State Register of Historical Places which are:

                                    Judge George G. Berry House, 451 W. Second Street

                                    Cumley-Richardson House, 175 Museum Lane

                                    W.C. Record House, 146 W. Second Street; and,

There are six structures in Winnemucca listed on the National Register of Historical Places which are:

                                     W.C. Record House, 146 W. Second Street

                                    Humboldt County Court House, 50 W. Fifth Street

                                    Humboldt River Bridge

                                    U.S. Post Office (City Hall), 90 W. Fourth Street

                                    Winnemucca Grammar School, 522 Lay Street

                                    Martin Hotel, 94 W. Railroad Street
